Our assignment for reading and language arts class is to create our own myths to explain anything about nature. I'm feeling a little bored today, so I'm going to post my myth. It will not be the best myth ever made in the entire universe, so quit complaining, especially you annoying "official" critics. Another thing I want to make clear is that this writing piece was the best writing in the whole class, so kind of get an idea how a 10 year old writes, OK? All right, here it is:

Long Ago, even before the Big Bang occurred, the planets were ruled by Queen Sun and her loyal Soldier Moon. They all lived peacefully until the day the Gods decided that they needed a place for living things to roam.
One Fine Day, they made an important announcement: The first eight planets to make it to Olympus would be named after a Greek God. Most planets were eager to recieve this honor, but they realized they would have to cross a thick fog to get to Olympus. However, Pluto knew he would never make it. He was a tiny planet and he couldn't see at all through the fog.
The day before the race, The Earth was training super hard and by the time it was time for the big race, he was exhausted. He begged Pluto to wake him in an hour and then he fell in deep sleep. Unfortunately, Pluto was still worried about how he'd might win the race. He asked Saturn and Mars, his two best friends, to help him. "No Problemo!" Saturn remarked. "I could just knock down all the other planets... except maybe Jupiter."
However, Mars disagreed. " When the Gods find out, they'll definately blow us to smithereens!"
"Are you with us or not?" Pluto barked. He wanted to help his friend, but he knew it just wasn't right.
"OK, I'm in," Mars whispered nervously.
When the race started, Saturn knocked down all the planets while Mars shone his red light to block out the fog.
When Pluto came in first place, the gods (who had been watching the buddies cheating) were very disappionted, but to keep their promise, they named Pluto after Hades and Saturn as Kronos and Mars as Ares. In fourth place came Jupiter who was named after Zeus, because he was the first official winner. In fifth place came Neptune who was named after Poseidon. He had made it by commading the sea to lift him, giving him a ride to Olympus. Sixth came Mercury who had ordered a fog-proof bus to drive him to Olympus, followed by Venus who had summoned cupids to carry her to Olympus were both named after Hermes and Aphrodite. Suddenly, Earth woke up, thinking Pluto had tricked him. He quickly ran toward Olympus while muttering to himself, "I'll get that dang dwarf yet!"
Meanwhile, Uranus just came in last place and the gods were just having second thoughts on what god to name him after when suddenly, out of the blue, Earth came. "You traitor!" he cried to Pluto. He dove for Pluto about to punch the life out of him, but at the last possible second, he jumped to one side and the poor planet Mars (who was standing behind Pluto) got punched be Earth so hard half his life had traveled to the Underworld. KABOOM! The planets were scattered causing the Big Bang and ever since then Soldier Moon stands beside Earth to prevent him from attempting to take his revenge on Pluto. However, the gods took pity on Earth and Mars. After all, being betrayed by a friend and getting karate-chopped by a bigger planet is pretty harsh, so they gave Earth life and humans while Mars carrys Martians. It is also why Uranus and Earth were not named after Greek Gods and why Mars has a lot of craters.
